Before the wedding - part one

It was a whirlwind romance. I met a handsome, career sailor over the Internet. We corresponded via email for about a month. Finally, we exchanged phone numbers and began talking on the phone. Did we talk on the phone, several hours a day, every day for two months. We cooked together, watched TV shows together, read books to each other and talked about everything under the sun. Often, I would be in bed half asleep, but still talking to him. I held on to the sound of his voice, not wanting the inevitable to happen- the time when we would hand up the phone and go into our separate lives.
